Suzanne Chong received her Chinese art training in Hong Kong and then her Fine Art degree in the UK. Suzanne’s work explores a struggle between traditional propriety and the liberation of Hong Kong-Chinese women’s accepted roles as good daughters, wives and mothers. Although her work is mainly inspired by her Hong Kong-Chinese background, her work opens up a conversation with women from different cultures.
Suzanne is currently based in the UK. She has already had six solo exhibitions and plenty of group exhibitions across the Europe. ‘Fly Free, Sparrow’ is Suzanne’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.
